Novolog questions

I have a diabetic kid, using novolog. Do you discard after 30 days or would you contact parent and ask???

It will be 28 days since it was opened on Friday. ...Help! !!!

At my facility we discard after 30 days. When filling in on another unit last year, I saw one bottle that was 2.5 months old!! The whole place is more on top of it re: insulins now.
