Before i begin, how did i ever forget about Allnurses.com!?
I graduated nursing school in May of 2017 but due i have only had about one year of experience due to periodically taking time off to take care of ill family members: Four months full-time on a Med Surg floor in a small hospital directly after graduating, four months staying at home taking care of family, then eight months in a skilled facility. Four of those months in skilled i was actually only PRN working one day a week to take care of family again but the other four months i was full-time.
I decided (after losing my father and grandmother) to stay at home with my two boys, husband , and our two Saint Bernard pups for the Summer. I include the pups because they require about as much attention as the husband and kids ?.
So without more backstory fluff, my dilemma is that i have been attempting to go back into my books from nursing school for a review of the material i learned but it is obviously too lengthy for me for just needing a review. I used many resources through nursing school whether just being "....for dummies" books or online resource site like Khan Academy etc. but they aren't benefiting my need for just a review. I have ADHD/ADD combined and it's been like deja vu trying to re-learn everything with the same material from nursing school.
Anyone know of any free online resources for a general review of material?
Ps. Just typing this post made me want to find a quick review source on my grammar and composition skills too.?
