Nova Southeastern University FNP Fall 2018

Published

I have not seen any post yet about NSU's FNP program for Fall 2018. I applied a couple of weeks ago and received a call from them stating that I will find out within 4 to 6 weeks if I am accepted. Was wondering if there was anyone else that has applied or that will be applying for this Fall.

Hi, I applied in January, did a phone interview in February and then got my acceptance within a week from my interview. The whole process was very quick and smooth. They do a really good job on keeping in touch with you to make sure your documents are in and that you application is complete.

Thanks for responding! Would you happen to know how many seats are in the FNP program? Trying to get an idea of how competitive it is. Did you attend one of their open houses prior to applying?

I believe there is about 50-60 seats in the program. No, I didn't attend the open houses. I have a friend who applied in the end of February who still hasn't heard from them regarding an interview. Once your application is complete, the next step is waiting to receive a call to schedule an phone interview.

Hi I'm applying in June after I graduate my rn to BSN program. What questions did they ask you during the interview?

Hi mdcRN, I applied to the Adult/Gero Acute Care track for Fall 2018. They called me to inquire if I had any questions regarding my application or the degree plan etc. I am still waiting for transcripts to be sent to them so my application can be finalized and sent for review. They said I would be contacted for a telephone interview if I was selected. Here's hoping, and good luck to you as well!

They called me too to ask if I had any questions, but they never mentioned anything about an interview. They just told me I should hear back in 4 to 6 weeks. Does everyone get an interview or just the applicants that they really want to admit? I wonder how many people apply versus how many seats they actually have in the program.

I plan on attending the open house on May 15th. Anyone else going?

Not everyone gets an interview. I was told that if you are selected for a telephone interview, they will call you to set up a date and time (like Mel_RN stated above). Is the open house at the PBG campus?

Yes, at PBG campus.

Did you send your transcripts to nursingcas?

I was told that since nursingcas already has the transcripts that I didn't have to send a separate set of trancripts to Nova.

I wasn't told that about the transcripts so I sent copies to both. I doubt I will attend the open house.
