Nova Southeastern University Entry-Level BSN Winter (January 2016) !

Published

Hello everyone !!

I was looking for a post for the Entry-Level BSN program for Winter 2016 at Nova and I couldn't find one, so I decided to make one where we could all get in contact to discuss and share our experience, tips, thoughts and questions on this journey !

So, I guess I'll begin with mine!! I originally began my application to Nova April 30th (kind of late considering their deadline for registration was June 1st) for the Fall Semester. After I submitted both my nursingCAS and the NSU application, it took about 2 weeks to receive a response. I got my email for the interview May 19th. I immediately registered for an interview (June 4th, tomorrow!!!) and began to prepare.

I called Nova, to see if I could get some feedback as to what I could use to study from, or if there was any specific book I could purchase. The girl who I spoke to kindly informed me that there was no specific study guide and that the test would be based on previous knowledge from my prerequisites. With that being said, I immediately started googling and finding out as much information as possible about the Exam and the interview process (where I came to find this website that has genuinely helped me so much with gathering info). I then purchased the "Nursing School Entrance Exams" Kaplan book through Amazon, which cost me around $20, and began to study from that. I can' t tell you guys yet if that worked for me or not since we don't know the exact material of the exam and I hadn't taken the exam yet, but I'll make sure to come back and let you guys know how it went!

I received a call last week on Friday, that there were no more available seats for the Fall Term 2015. The girl I spoke to advised me to still present myself to the interview and take the exam. She also told me that the application could be moved to the Winter Term and that way I don't have to apply all over again and go through the same process. So, that's what I plan on doing.

I am so nervous for the exam more than anything, since I don't know what to expect, but I am trying to stay positive.

Good luck to all the new applicants for Winter Term and those that are on the same boat as me. Hopefully we are all together soon in the BSN program at NSU!!!!!!!

I just logged into my shark link, if you need help let me know

I do need help. When i "retrieve my ID" i never receive the email and it is the right email address. Im not sure if its because I'm currently taking classes?

Does anyone know when were supposed to receive our acceptance packets in the mail?

I received mine a couple days after my acceptance. You get an email with you NSU ID and your username. You then have to get a temporary password from shark identity. You login into shark link and you can make up your own password from there. But you'll recurve all that info in your acceptance package.

we have to pay for it?? Along with the $200 deposit? Were you about to make a shark account? i can't seem to do it

So i found out that Nova covers our background check

Has anyone received their acceptance packet in the mail yet?

Hey guys!! They don't charge you for the background check and you receive the package in the mail at about 2 weeks after your acceptance! :) :p

I received the acceptance package like 3 days after my acceptance. What i am having problems is with the pin for the background check i still haven't received i called and I'm still waiting.

Have you tried looking in your VIP page and in your acceptance package??

Yea the thing is that they had not clear the deposit on the vip page so I called last Thursday and they told me to wait 48 hrs I checked my Vip page today at it appears clears but I haven't receive the pin i though they send it through an email.

And it's not in your acceptance package ?

My pin isn't working on certified profile. Anyone else have this problem?
