Nova Southeastern University BSN Entry Level Fall 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys! So I'm starting this new article for the students applying for the Fall term 2016, just wanted to get to know some of you and see how everyone is feeling about the application process. My interview is on Tuesday and I'm pretty nervous, wondering who else has the same date.

Hey guys! They can honestly ask you anything, my best advice to prepare is to google "Nursing school entrance exam questions" and they have a quilt on a bunch of questions they can ask. Basically, they really want to know about you and why you want to be a nurse. Show them why you want to be a nurse and they will see your passion. They will ask you about 3 scenario questions to see what you would do in cases such as if you see someone cheating on a test, and in case of an emergency in class. Show your leadership skills and how you best handle the situation. As far as the test and essay, it depends where your weak points are. For me it was reading, brush up on your skills, math was basically fractions and decimals adding, multiplying, dividing, and subtracting. Again the essay is the same as the interview, just show your ambition and passion for nursing.

Quizlet** sorry, autocorrect changed it

Hi everyone I had looked around for a thread and didn't find one so I had started one but happy to join in here. I have also applied for the fall program. I'm a bit nervous because I haven't heard anything back just yet. I applied on March 3 but my transcripts weren't received until March 11. Although all my pre-req grades are all A's and 2 B's I'll admit that my GPA from my first bachelors was not that high (its from many years ago and I admit I wasn't a strong student then), but my more recent courses and grades are more reflective of my commitment to studying now. I'm heading into this career a bit late in life but, I always say its never to late to be what you've always wanted to become, so here I am.

I was told it typically takes about two weeks to hear anything back. I know I applied somewhat late (since most were applying since January). Can anyone say how long it took between applying and hearing you were invited for an interview?

Angelicad and Mjimenez036congrats on being accepted to the program!! :)

Good luck to all waiting for an interview, applying or waiting for acceptance to the program!

If ur waiting for an interview make sure u call weekly and check on the status!!!!

But on the hand I interviewed March 15th and they are giving decisions to those people if you call !!!!! So anyone that interviewed then please call!!!!

and I got accepted !!!

cant wait to meet you all!!!!!!!!!❤️

Did you call Diana ? Who did you call

I got a call today for an interview!!!! Diana called me and my interview is set for April! Let the nervousness begin!!! Seems that everyone here has interviewed already. I know the interviews are no longer groups and the exam is in the morning. Any other tips? Advice? I'll be dressing as if I'm going to an interview and I was asked to get there at 8:30am but to be on the safe side I'll probably get there at 8am. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time.

I called undergraduate admissions and they told me and then transferred me to the undergraduate nursing department and spoke to one of the secretaries about the next step in securing my seat lol

as far as the interview make sure to defiantly review the science aspect and well as get ready to answer questions as well as make the admissions committee see the kind of person you are. Everyone is really nice just make sure to stay calm and tell them everything you think they should know!

good luck to everyone !!!!

That's great, my interview is also in April.

Good luck to everyone who has applied! :cat:

I'm not so sure if NOVA uploads anything online because I checked this morning and there was nothing stating I was accepted, however, when I called around noon time (I called Dianna Gardner) I was told that a decision was made last night and that I was accepted! IT WAS SUCH A RELIEF TO HEAR THE GOOD NEWS! Waiting to hear my decision felt like the longest week ever!!

For anyone who hasn't had their interview yet, don't worry too much about the Kaplan. It was pretty basic, but look over information from Anatomy for the science portion of the test. For the interview itself, be yourself and don't stress! It was one of the easiest interviews!

Good luck to everyone!

Congrats Nadia and Kjuneee!

wevelazquez when in April is your interview? Which campus did you apply to?

I just heard back annnnnnd I got in! Good luck to all!
