Hey guys! I recently applied for Nova's ABSN program for Fall 2020 on the Fort Myers campus. I was looking for other people who applied as well, and if I'll meet anyone at the interviews on the 21st. Super excited! Good luck to everyone.

Hey! Did you go to your interview yet? If so how was it and how was the Kaplan exam?
Hi! It was good. Super easy, super quick interview. They just ask scenario questions (ex: What would you do if you had a problem with a professor) and questions to figure out how you communicate and work with others. The Kaplan was super easy for me except for the science. I got an 80% overall (93 math, 97 reading, 97 writing, 60 science, or something similar). The science was just hard because it was SO broad and it could’ve covered SO many different things. The day went from 8:30am-12pm.
I won’t be attending Nova, as I was accepted to Miami, but I loved my experience there!
Thank you so much! Best of luck ?

Hey all!
I was accepted and secured a spot, but I am personally hoping to be accepted to UNF or UCF ABSN. But if those don't work out, it seems like a great place to be ?

Congrats! How did you secure your spot? How much was it to hold your seat? What were some questions you asked in the interview?

Thank you!
Once you're accepted, you're allowed to pay the $200 non refundable deposit. You pay through the website. Spots are getting taken fast since the program is private and a smaller cohort. Just some nursing based and personal questions. Not bad. They are looking for passionate people though who they believe are capable, since it is rigorous.

Hey everyone. I just did my interview for Nova on Tuesday and got my acceptance on Thursday. The process was pretty chill don't stress out too much on the Kaplan and interview. I'll probably be securing a spot for the program but I'm still waiting on FIU, FAU, and MDC for final answers and will then decide. Good luck to everyone else applying.
Also to anyone who has secured a spot are you applying more for scholarships or loans?
Those of you who interviewed already, was there a portion where you had to write an essay? Also, any tips on the interview section as in what type of questions were asked? I am pretty nervous but trying to not overthink it! Thanks :)

Hey.
There was an essay portion and it was really quick they told me to write a paragraph as they don't have much time to read them (the interview counts more in the selection process). The essay for me was to describe a time I did a group project, what my role was in the project, how I went about it, what the outcome was. For the interview, they select around five questions that are personal or opinionated. They asked me: 'what qualities should a nurse possess?', 'where do I see myself in 5 years from now', 'how would you solve conflicts with coworkers'. These are questions that you already know the answer to. If I were you try to practice interview questions with a friend so you formulate the answers the way you want it to sound (thats what I did).
Good Luck!
Thank you so much for the advice! @chsh33
I had my interview Tuesday and found out Thursday that I was accepted! Good luck to everyone applying! The Kaplan exam is really not that bad, in comparison to the TEAS I found it a lot easier. A lot of fractions for the math section. The interview itself was pretty easy going, prepare but don’t stress too much!
