First and foremost my prayers and my heart go out to you. Seems like you let your nerves get the best of you, i know trust me....i get the same way. It seems that if your getting questions like those, go with the most critical one, think along the lines of is the impaired (doesn't count if the condition of the patient is chronic) A= airway B= breathing C= circulation. Using Maslows hierarchy would also be helpful as far as prioritizing for those type questions. Anyways hope that helped a little bit, and don't give up...will keep you in my prayers!!!
Thank U So Much For Your Support... All I Think About Is.. Here I Go Again.. But Trust Me, I Willl Keep Going Until I Let Go Of This Dream,,, Which Will Not Happen...i Know I Can Do This........ Wow.... U Were My First Response......thank U For Your Caring Words.........
Anytime gurl!!! Us nurses have to stick together!!! And you will pass, just give it to the Lord, as long as you do your part physically...studying and preparing, and God will handle the rest.

Michelle,,,,I am sorry to hear that you have failed in the past....but you can beat the test!!!! When you have gone in and sat down to take the tests.....how did you feel??? Were you nervous....to the point you could not concentrate???? Well,,,I believe that because I told myself I WAS NOT going to let less test get to me....that ..that is what saved me...and I passed.....!!!! You can too!!!.....I am sure you know all there is to know....so you need to think and ACT like a nurse when taking the test!!! Would you freak out when a patient needs you???? NO I think not!!!...You would do what you need to do for them....so when taking the test...you can only take one question at a time....be "in" the question...think like a nurse.....but dont get nervous ......remain calm...like you would if you were at work...YOU CAN DO IT!!!! I did.....and you can too!!!!!!!
Thank U So Much For Ur Support... This Is All I Want In The World.....its Like I Am Stuck At The Crossroad In Life... I Just Need To Take That Turn... Uh... Like I Said I Will Not Give Up.. I Will Beat This Test.........i Have Too.........again, Thank You .. For Responding And Caring.......

Michelle,
I am in the same boat as you. I know how you feel belive me, its devasting and painful. look at this way at least we finished nursing school and we are just one step away from being a RN. I am not going to let this test defeat me and you shouldn't as well. There are times i just want to give up but then i tell myself what am i thinking? there are people that would love to be in my shoe. bascially, Ijust tell myself that I can do this. I have study and will overcome this test. this time around, I am not going to let my anxiety get the best of me (I know some will).
This will be my 6th time and hopefully the last time. I have tried kaplan and hurst review but it did not help me. the last time I took it I got all near passing and ran out of time. it was a disappointing.
have you tried suzanne's plan? I am currently using her plan.
what have you tried so far such as feuer review, kaplan? have you tried in a study group in your area? what are resources at your school?
I dont know what else to tell you except study study and study. good luck next time.
YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!:nuke::nuke::nuke::nuke:

You can do it just hang in there and give Suzanne's plan a good go.

Almost 20yr ago I took the Helen Feur review. I don't believe I would have passed without it. From what I undertand it's still out there. Maybe you should take a Valium before you take the test. But take them several weeks before the test so you know how they affect you-you don't want to be knocked out just relaxed. Just keep taking deep breaths and telling yourself you can do this!!! You made it through Nursing School so you have the brains. You're gonna make it this time!!!!

First off I would like to say I admire your dedication. Most people would have given up by now so I think it's awesome that you keep going t it. You can and will do it! The test is really just about how well you can take a test. So as hard as it is so to do you have to go in there as calm as you can (a little anxiety can be beneficial) and be confident. Go in there thinking I can do this. I thought that my entire drive to the testing facility. Take deep breaths. Remember your ABCs for prioritization. That will help you the most.
