All my papers and application was fill-up by my teacher. I thought, she applied us as an auxilliary nurse. As what she said to us, but i just found out that i got autorisasjon for helsefagarbeider...so it means that i can only apply in nursing homes not in hospital?... Maybe because i have a little experience in nursing field.. does it matter?...:crying2: does autorisasjon expired?... thanks again...

Hi again... You can actually check your license online at http://www.safh.com

HPR autorisasjons-status

License is valid until you reach 75 years old :p

hi wyndz!

i'm sure you can apply for a job in norway one day, but it requires some working:

you must speak and write norwegian. i'm just honest with you. no hospital or nursinghome will ever hire you if not. that's because many norwegians doesn't speak english and because your practice will become unsafe. the most important issue for your matter is that you accomplish a safe practice. you have a big responsibility in health care.

Good Day!

thanks to r.u serious and BSN babayface.. It was a great help to me. Sorry it was a late response.

Do you know the next step after I got my authorisasyon?... how to apply visa? what are the requirements needed? and how many months they will gave, in order I can find a job? thanks again

My advice for you is to make sure you can communicate very well in Norwegian Language. Everything is expensive in Norway, you dont want to be moving there and end up getting frustrated not getting any jobs because you cannot express yourself on the interview  It is not like any other countries where you can work "under the table" to get by while waiting for another job interview. RE: Visa, I personally called the Norwegian consulate in Cebu about some inquiries on visas for a friend of mine, that was 3 years ago. The lady working there said that the Visit Visa is also pertaining to Job Seekers Visa. I think this visa is valid for a year. Meaning, if you dont get an employer to sponsor you within a year, you have to go back home or else you'll lose you status and will definitely jeoperdize your future immigration applications. check: http://www.norway.ph for info on immigration. Tourist Visa/Job Seekers Visa can be granted in a month. These info that I know are from 3 years ago, I am not sure if there were changes so you have to call the embassy in Makati or the consulate in Cebu. Good luck.

As what I have experienced... the older population barely speaks english, but the younger generations does understands and speaks english. Some may just dont want to speak english to you, you cannot blame them - Norway is a very rich country. You will love living there. My first years over there relates to, me speaking english to the people I know and they replies in Norsk :p A relative of mine even gave me a deadline that they will only speak english to me 3 months upon my arrival and only norsk after that :uhoh3: Helped me alot!

Good luck!

hei!

what is the difference of Hjelpepliere to helsefagarbeider? I had already my authorization as hjelpepliere but said to me that is not valid anymore since I have not taken a kurs nasjonale. Then I re applied for helsefagarbeider since hjelpepliere is not existing anymore according to SAFH. I've got my temporary resident permit as jobseeker last june 15. how it takes to release the authorization? since im planning to go this august.

Hi there. I have spoken to one kolega of mine back in Stavanger. She is a hjelpepleier for almost 10 years and now she will be studying to be a vernepleier. I honestly doesnt know how the process is nowadays. Before, they have the Sykepleier, hjelpepleier, omsorgsarbeier.... I heard the last two were replaced by the title Helsefagarbeider. You mentioned about the Nasjonale fagskurs (for sykepleiere???), if yes, then you need the language requirements.

Re: the application for a new type of license. I am sure that it will not take long since they already have your file. You mentioned that you had a hjelpepleier autorisasjon, and you already have a HPR-nummer.

Whatever your plans are, make sure you a fully equipped before going to Norway. Jobseekers visa is only valid for a year, i think. Good luck.
