Northwell Fellowship Application Requirements

  • Resume/Curriculum vitae
  • Personal statement
  • Copy of medical diploma, as well as any graduate school diplomas
  • Letters of recommendation
  • Official medical school transcript
  • Official test transcripts for all applicable examinations
    • USMLE, LMCC, COMLEX, NBOME, FMGEMS, FLEX or NBME.
  • INTERNATIONAL: ECFMG certificate for applicants who graduated from a medical school outside the United States or Canada
  • Copy of completion certificate for prior residency or fellowship training programs

How long is the Northwell Fellowship program?

The fellowship is a 12-month program with one-to-one mentoring. The program is rotation-based. Each fellow will be assigned to work at multiple sites (tertiary, community hospital and corporate) throughout the system.

How long is each rotation?

A rotation lasts for 12 weeks.

Hi! Has anyone heard back in regards to next steps after doing the on demand video for the Operating Room fellowship at LIJ?

I received an offer for Critical Care! I applied beginning of July, did the on demand video about 2 weeks ago, interviewed early last week, and received my verbal offer that same week, and received my offer letter this Monday. Just a heads up the recruiter in charge of the fellowships is on vacation until September 7th, so I wouldn’t expect much until after then

Congratulations! … when is the start date ?Would you be willing to share how much they offered ? Also is there a pay difference when your in the fellowship ?

Start Date is October 24. I’m at Lenox Hill! So it’s Unionized and no pay difference for the fellowship. There is an education differential is you have a bachelors or a masters. I was offered nights and I have a masters in nursing as well. It’s about $110,000 before overtime. I don’t know the exact break down per hour 

I will say it is slightly less than other NYC hospitals (not by a lot but by a few thousand)

@micho $110,000 was your starting? I think thats the highest I've heard amongst hospitals. which CC unit did you get accepted into?

oh cuz I was offered at a hospital with a base salary of $100,000 then extra $6000 for nights. The hospital is pretty well respected in the city too.
