Northside Hospital Atlanta

Hey there!!

Does anyone know anything about the nurse residency program at Northside Hospital in Atlanta??

Not from Georgia and just scoping out Atlanta hospitals for potential residency programs for fall 2016, I graduate in May 2016. Let me know if any of yall know anything about it!

The Northside surgical services residency is a joke. Lack of communication, 2 year and 4 month contract, interview for one unit and get placed in another, placed in outpatient surgery centers, random shifts. I am not sure how any of the Other Northside residency programs operate.

I did Northside's OR residency and ICURNBSN2 is not lying. Didn't matter if you had experience as a nurse or not. Two year contract to sign and you are lead to believe this is a great company. You do not get a choice on the surgical service specialties or floor you will work. I was lied to about everything from my work schedule to learning scrub nursing.

Wow, this is quite disturbing to hear. I was wondering why I didn't find many comments about Northside and now these remarks explain why. This is truly enlightening information and others echoed your sentiments; thanks.

Are you still working for Northside or no? Was interested in their OR residency, but based on your info., I may reconsider...
