NorthShore LIJ fellowship

U.S.A. New York

Has anyone heard of this fellowship and how the application process is coming along?

I completed the fellowship several years ago. The first interview was with HR, the second with the director and manager of the ICU for which I was interviewing, and the third was with the director of the fellowhip program. The third interview was a formality. Things may have changed since then. You have to do a head to toe assessment during the first interview with HR, if you can't, you won't go forward with the other interviews. That has definitely not changed.

Good luck!

It was posted and I applied and it said SICU fellowship - July. Does that mean it will start in July? How long does the process take from application to starting? Thanks for any info in advance.

It could take a few weeks or 2-3 months, depending. If you haven't yet been called though, it's unlikely that you will get in for July. Your app could be held until the next class. Good luck!

I think submissions were no longer accepted after the 29th of June. I was hoping that maybe with the holiday weekend it would be taking awhile to hear back. I have my fingers crossed. I saw that the pediatric fellowship was open and closed as of yesterday. That one was only open for a short period of time.

hey antares, I applied for an emergency fellowship at LIJ and had my third interview yesterday. the program starts july 25th and i was told to wait for an e-mail or a phone call with a job offer. How long do you think they'll take to call or e-mail? im getting so anxious. Do you think its a good sign if i was called back for the third interview?

I totally missed the ED posting. How soon after you applied did you hear back? Are you a new graf? ADN or BSN? I havent heard back from anyone and I think I never will. 8 years as a medicand now an RN doesnt seem to matter. Plus an ADN and nobody wants to hire me. Really regretting my education.

I actually didn't originally apply for this position. I was applying for other positions within LIJ and one day i was contacted by someone from HR who saw my resume and wanted to know if I was interested in the ER fellowship. She asked me to fill out the application online and I interviewed the same week. I just graduated this past may.

I have a BSN. Don't worry tho! they keep resumes on file. and they told me the fellowships happen every 3-4 months so if you don't qualify for the july one, there could be another one that starts later in the year. The lady who interviewed me from HR said another ED fellowship starts in September. KEEP LOOKING!!!

It is just becoming very frustrating to have no response to any job applications at all 6 months after graduation, and to know that because I could afford only my ADN and not BSN is holding me back. I passed my NCLEX in 75 questions in 38 minutes. Top of my class, everything, but no job. I cant reach anyone in HR. It is just very disheartening.

I had my second interview with the nurse manger for the critical care fellowship. It seemed like it went well. I followed up with an thank you email the next day. What is the next step? How long does it usually take to hear back from them regarding the 3rd interview? ANXIETY! LOL

aRN4Life...I have an interview this week with HR for the fellowship. What specific ICU were you interviewed for? Could you share your interview experiences please? What kind of questions were you asked? Any info/advice would be great! Good luck!! Keep me updated :)
