Hey guys. Just starting a thread for the Northridge Hospital New Grad Program. Application runs from 10/1-10/14. Interviews in November to start in March. We can ask each other questions and prepare here until the app opens and we start updating each other.
Wish these start dates were closer to the app dates =/

Hi! Thanks for creating this! I wish they let us know in advance the departments hiring as well. Best of luck to everyone in advance!

The app does give many to pick from as your top 2 options so hopefully they are all the ones hiring. Never thought I would have graduated in June and may not be working til March 😭😭😭
Oh no! I am so sorry. I am graduating in December but as a severe type A and reading so many forums and how hard it is I've been making sure to be super proactive! I'm sure you've also seen providence has a new grad info session on October 1st? No idea If you're interested in PEDS but so is CHLA!
what departments are you hoping to apply to?

I am registered for the info session for providence! Holy Cross is my most preferred and Tarzana is second. Kaiser is also supposed to open around 10/18 I heard. My preference is periop services and anything related to surgery. Acute physical rehab or NICU would be next. What about you? Congrats on graduating soon!
I live two blocks from Saint John's so that's my number one LOL and then tarzana for sure since it's a traumas center ! I like peds the most so I'm hoping for PICU to be available! But depending what departments are hiring my three to choose from are PICU, ICU, and ER 🙂
Just applied! Good luck everyone!
I combined my resume, application packet and letter of intent into 1 document, just FYI.
I did it all seperate, I hope that's OK! Good luck to you!

Hi, you guys! What are the graduation dates in order to qualify for this cohort? It says to have graduated from your nursing program within the past 12 months. Anyone know the date cut-off? Thank you !

Hey. IDK the exact cut off dates but I assume it's March since that's when it actually starts? Just my guess! I would still apply even if you graduated in like December or something. It says they read every single application and it's so tough out there for new grads. I graduated in May and I would have never thought I may not be working til February or March!
I just got an email that my application has moved to the next step and my status changed to "hiring manager review.”
Same!
