Hi midwife1990:)
Good luck on getting in the program! I applied too. I haven't heard anything yet. I wanted to find out how long it took to hear something from others too. I sent my application back…in either last week of march when application period started or first week in april. I didn't get a notification that they received my application. I got confirmation that it got delivered through the post office.
I don't know but I'm dying to know either way if i got in:))
TEXAS81,
There is a similar thread to this one over in the General Nursing Student forum where a couple of us have chimed in (link: https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/nvcc-nursing-may-991071.html) It's probably more accurate for us to post here in the Virginia forum.
I applied the first week applications were being accepted, so I feel like I've been waiting a long time to know definitively about acceptance. I know there will be some orientations to do over the summer prior to starting Fall semester. The sooner we know, the better so that we can all plan our summer schedules accordingly.
Keep us posted if you hear anything via email or mail, and I'll do the same.
This afternoon (6/16/2015) I received a second email from the MEC stating my application has been received and processed. Today's email had the following comment:
"Your Traditional Nursing track application has been received and is being processed. You will be contacted directly by the Nursing department regarding your admission status."
Hi guys! My name is Shelli, I'm your Nursing Student Association President. The last couple of years acceptances have been received around the 20th of June so keep an eye out! I look forward to meeting you all, unfortunately I can't be at your orientation, instead you'll meet the VP there, you'll meet me on campus though, I'm all over the place. Good luck, it's going to be a great year!
Also, I'd like to invite anyone who'd like to come:
Friday a group of us are going swimming
I'll get there around 10am
Historic Port of Falmouth Park
401 River Rd
Fredericksburg, VA 22405
Bring your kids, floaties, picnic or grilling, dogs. Water shoes optional but there are a few parts where it would be a lot more comfortable if you had them.
The water has been amazing this week, hope to see you guys there! You'll know me by the pink and purple hair.

Hi Everyone!
I really wanted to begin a thread about NVCC northern Virginia community college traditional Nursing Program beginning in Fall 2015 (Applications are due May 21 2015). I would like that everybody share her/his experience applying to this program while waiting for the acceptance letters..... and good luck everyone.
PS: i am waiting for my application being processed notification email.
Did anybody receive this notification yet? please let me know :)
Thanks
