Northeastern Traditional Direct Entry

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Published

Good Afternoon,

I wanted to see if others have heard anything from Northeastern University (MA) regarding traditional direct entry program that starts September 2014. Has anyone heard about an interview? Just wanted to get a conversation going!

Look forward to hearing from others!

@cttruong and @as98021 did you get a call as well?

would anyone have any interest in starting a facebook group or something like that?

Thanks cttruong, I really appreciate it! :) I can tell your going to be a great np!

Hi guys, congratulations to everyone who got in so far! If you have any questions about the program or Boston in general feel free to PM me. (I just finished the first part of the traditional program- psych specialty)

Hi Ally1451! I was just wondering what the class schedule looks like during the week, I am trying to decide if I should commute or live in boston but don't know a whole lot about what a typical week is like as far as classes and clinicals. Would you be able to tell me about that? Thanks!

Hi Steph,

For the fall, we were in class 3 days a week with clinical 1 day (6 hours). I think the spring was more like class 4 days a week with clinical twice a week (sometimes after class). So you can probably expect to need to be in Boston at least 4 days a week starting out. There were about 4 or 5 people in our cohort that drove in for classes and clinicals.

For those accepted, there is an open house April 25th specifically for admitted students. I'm attending!! If anyone wants to meet up, let me know!

Is there any resources to find off campus housing through NEU? I'm moving over from the west coast and I don't know too much of the area as of yet? Also is a car necessary for the program or can you get by with public transport?

Yeah I just checked online as well. It just gives you a link at the bottom of the application

How did you learn about the Open House? Do you have any more details?

Thanks!

I have to visit since I am out-of-state. Just went on their website: Visit Campus | Admissions.

If the link does not work, Google Northeastern open house. It should be their admissions page. Scroll down to college specific programs and under that tab, there should be Bouve. Click register now!

There are two types of open houses. One is for general information about Bouve and they provide more visiting dates whereas the one on April 25th is specifically for admitted students.
