Hi everyone! I thought I'd start this thread for anyone else who applied to the Northeastern Direct Entry Program for 2021!

But yes, I submitted my deposit to hopkins a while ago because I didn't want to lose my spot and at that time I hadn't heard from any other school yet. Now, I've been waitlisted by penn and columbia so I have to wait even longer. Penn is definitely my dream school, but it's so hard to turn down other schools without knowing penn's decision for me! Considering the two I've heard from so far, I am leaning towards hopkins, but it really all depends on penn and unfortunately I might be waiting until May to hear from them ?
LOL I know ? Hopkins sounds great, my friend goes there and she really enjoys it!

Honestly, the interview was very easy, and I basically just ended up reiterating the things I wrote in my essay (why nursing, what qualities I have that would make me a good nurse, why PMHNP specifically, etc). Really low stress, I think they more-so want to have a conversation with you rather than interview you! She did ask me a lot about my undergraduate research (since I did mention that influenced me to choose the PMHNP specialty).
Thanks for the advice! I agree with you, I had my interview yesterday and it was more of a conversation about the program. They said I’d hear back in 1-2 weeks? Hoping for the best????
Congrats on your acceptance btw!

Thanks for the advice! I agree with you, I had my interview yesterday and it was more of a conversation learning about the program. They said I’d hear back in 1-2 weeks.
UPDATE:
I got my acceptance today to the AGACNP concentration! (It was a pretty fast turnaround, faster than expected for the first time!??)

Congratulations!! I’m currently on the waitlist for neonatal so fingers crossed!
Hello everyone,
I'm interested in applying for the 2022 cohort (specifically pmhnp) For those that were accepted, would you be able to list some of the details about your application, including personal statement, GPA, science GPA, background and letters of recommendation? Also, was this your first year applying or were you a wait list from the previous year? I'm trying to get a sense of what they're looking for.
For those that were wait listed, what were the same attributes of your application such as GPA, science GPA, statement, letters, etc.? I'm trying to get a sense of what they're looking for in all aspects. Also, once you were told you were wait listed, did they give you a number or at least tell you how many people were also on the wait list for the following year?
Thank you so much!

It’s roughly 20,000 per semester so 80,000 for the BSN part
Hi Everyone! I’m new to this thread! I applied black in December and JUST heard back for an interview. I almost lost hope because they were taking so long but I read through some threads and saw that it was a common issue. Does any one who has already interviewed, have any advice for the interview? I am very nervous. I was waitlisted for the DE FNP program at Boston so I would like to have more options. Any piece of advice will help! Good luck to everyone else!

hi! if you don’t mind me asking, which specialty are you interviewing for? I had an interview last week and it was pretty conversational/casual. im in the same boat as you, I hadnt heard from the program in so long I thought I was rejected, but then suddenly heard about an email. it was mostly us talking about the program and me asking her questions, rather than her asking me formal interview questions. I can def attest to the other comments in the thread about doing your research on the school and coming prepared with several questions to ask! good luck on your interview ?

Hi! I interviewed for FNP track! Which did you interview for? I was so nervous. But everyone was so right it was very casual and conversational. She asked me like one questions and it was why I wanted to be a nurse. Thank you for your advice! I was accepted on Friday. I was not expecting such a quick response. -------------------- emailed me letting me know, with financial aid info, but I have not gotten the official letter yet.
