Northbay Healthcare New Grad Program

I saw that NorthBay Health Care in Fairfield had their new grad program up. After a day I saw that it was gone. Has anybody had there status change yet? Please you this forum to share any info you may have on this New Grad Program

^I don't think it's bad news. you're talking about the med-surg position right? didnt thry just post it? I think everyone's app starts off as received then reviewed and within a couple of days it gets forwarded if they like what they see. my friend who got a call said that her app status still says forwarded. I know someone who works at northbay and she said that if it still says reviewed even after a couple of days, that's not a good sign.

^ I noticed that my friends who got contacted have this in common: BSN, live in the area, ACLS, and have prior RN experience.

also, heard that the interview questions were a mix of clinical and standard questions

What kind of clinical questions?

Hmmm my application says reviewed now.. but not forwarded.. I am guessing bad news? :/

Mine says the same thing as of today's date...

Thank you for replying :) and yes the recent med-surg position that was posted on Friday and was taken down on Monday! ... I guess will still have some hope...hopefully it changes within the next couple days!

got some info for those who applied: the manager is conducting interviews till aboutthe 18th and people could receive job offers as early as the 19th! I heard that they narrowed down the candidates from about 150 to 30 candidates! good luck everyone!

It is the 19th, has anybody received a phone call?

I have been to two interviews at NorthBay (for two different units) and both have been very different. But there were a couple of similarities.

1. They like to include the unit manager as well as some leads in the interview.

2. As far as a new grad is concerned they are more concerned with who you are. Skills can be taught. Character is entirely different.

Other than this there wasn't much similar in either interview. I think it just depends on the unit. My advice - confidence and honesty are key. It really is a great hospital with a family like atmosphere. Patients are top priority. I hope this helps you and good luck to you.
