She means that she was number 53 on the list out of 60 people. I too was on the wait list and got pulled in a couple days before orientation. I was 45 out of 60 on the list. What she says is true, it is a challenging process, but one that is worth it. You do have to trust in the process, but not be afraid to stand up when you need to.
Loans were tough for me only because I had to find a co-signer and some of the people I chose were not the best of choices. My loans happen to be mostly private and it was a hard amount to swallow knowing that I will have to pay those back, along with my previous school loans.
I know that I have more that I want to say, I just can't think of it right now as I am a bit fried from the studying and writing a paper and being at the hospital for clinicals all weekend.
