NorCal Kaiser New Grad Hiring

Hi everyone,

I just received my preceptorship placement and found out I am at a Kaiser hospital in the Sacramento area of Northern California. I am disappointed because I have heard that Northern California Kaiser hospitals do not hire new grads; I was wondering if anyone else has heard this? I'm trying to be upbeat and grateful that I even got a preceptorship as I know people last year did not because of Covid, but it's hard when my classmates are being placed in hospitals where they will at least make connections and have a chance of being hired post-graduation. I just need some uplifting advice as I'm pretty down right now. Thanks!

@RowRN_8855 Just a little more to add!:

During the webinar they mentioned their plan is to at least do this New Grad program for 2021 and 2022, and are taking 100 new grads per Spring and fall cohort (so essentially 400 new grads in 2 years across the 21 NorCal locations).

And where your experience can be really helpful is that they said in addition to Academic background, they also consider Kaiser experience as well when making decisions, and that includes clinicals!

So looks like you're actually in a great spot after all! So woohoo for you! Hopefully you have a great preceptorship experience!

Does anyone know what the new grad starting pay rate is at Kaiser? Thank you in advance.

Hey guys, so do NorCal Kaisers not hire new grads whatsoever (besides the residency program) ? Do you need to have one year of experience to have any chance ?
