NOR CAL RN transferring to SO CAL FOR LOVE... HELP!

Published

Hello All of you Fabulous RN's,

I recently made a committment to the love of my life, to relocate to the Irvine area due to his job.

I work for Kaiser in Nor Cal, (which clearly makes fantastic wages) and am willing to transfer for lessor wages in the name of LOVE...

;)

However, I cannot seem to find very many jobs (or any for that matter) even on an internal search with Kaiser...

Any suggestions??? Are the jobs down there really that scarce?

Which in your opinion is the best hospital to work for in OC?

What (if I may ask) is the actual starting rate for an RN with 6 years of experience?

How are the working conditions? Do you still have nurses aides?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I do not want to become a desperate housewife secondary to lack of jobs...:)_

I hope everyone is having a great day!

6 years experience? I would think around 40/hr. I'm guessing though. What is your experience in? If you are a floor nurse like tele, it would be harder to find work than ICU or ER. Hoag is pretty good to work for, but they are having financial issues and a lot of nurses who worked there were getting called off and had to leave. This was at the Irvine location though. There is a big beautiful Kaiser in Irvine, I'd contact their HR and ask to speak to them. May be your best chance.

If you work for Kaiser already couldn't you just ask for a transfer? There are many Kaiser hospitals in SoCal too. Stay with Kaiser company cause you have a name with them already. Gluck with it all :)

How are things going for you in SoCal?
