non clinical jobs for rns!!? pls help!

Published

Hi, I am a new grad nurse and haven't had a job yet. I am afraid that i will forget what i have learned in nursing school.

Since the hospital job market is so tight, I am thinking of non clinical jobs like insurance agency. does anyone know the website that i can go to?

Do they require any advance degree to work for insurance agency?

thx

From what I've seen in job postings in my area, they want you to already have a few years of acute care experience. I'm not sure if they strictly heed their own requirements, but for people looking for non-acute care jobs who can't find one and would like a job such as these, it doesn't help the situation.

I got a job with home health. They do hire new grads and will train you. I don't want to hear how they shouldn't I will be fine. I really like my little agency and am confident I will be a great HH nurse.

A good agency that matches the right patients with the right newbie nurse with sufficient training and orientation should be a great way to launch your career.

thank you so much for all replies. much appreciated!
