Noise control

For several reasons I would like to reduce the level of noise in the clinic.

I am right in the office, so between classes the volume goes WAY up from the kiddos and teachers in the halls. Also, some kids come in running their mouths with their friends, some times shouting into the hall.

Besides saying HEY, BE QUIET all day, what can I do?

Also my door is ALWAYS locked from the outside, so I cannot really close it. Any ideas how to keep it cracked all day?

If it's a steel door frame, place a little magnet on the door handle side of the frame. If it's not steel stick something else in the door frame in a manner that won't fall off when the door is opened...in either case so the door won't close completely and latch, but it will close mostly.
