No rn new graduate jobs in orange county 2014

Published

I GRADUATED IN MAY 2014 WITH MY BSN IN NURSING FROM A WELL KNOWN SCHOOL. I PASSED BOARDS IN JUNE AND BEGAN TO BUILD MY RESUME BY TAKING CLASSES SUCH AS ACLS, NRP, AWONN, MAB, ECT. I HIRED A RESUME WRITER. I HAVE APPLIED T OVER 200 JOBS AND HAD 8 INTERVIEWS, ONLY ONE ENDED IN AN OFFER. I AM WORKING PART TIME 1X A WEEK IN A MEDICAL CLINIC, HOWEVER MY GOAL IS TO BECOME A WOMENS HEALTH NURSE. IVE HAD 4 INTERVIEWS FOR WOMENS HEALTH POSITIONS AND MADE IT INTO THE TOP 10 OUT OF HUNDREDS OF APPLICANTS. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. THERE ARE NO JOBS! ITS DEPRESSING! I SPEND ALL DAY APPLYING TO JOBS AND STILL NOTHING. I GET SO MUCH HOPE WHEN IM INVITED TO INTERVIEW AND GET DEPRESSED WHEN I FIND OUT IVE BEEN REJECTED. ANY ADVICE WOULD HELP:arghh:

First piece of advice, don't post on the forums in all caps. It makes it difficult to read.

Second, which Orange County are you talking about? There are tons of them throughout the US.

Orange County, California! Sorry about the caps!

CA has a new grad unemployment rate of something like 43% and it takes the average new grad about 18 months to find their first position.

Moving to another state would probably be your best bet.

U should move 2 another state. Have u tried North Dakota?
