Hello everyone,
I am so frustrated and upset right now.I have been trying to contact the nurse board's education consultant for almost three weeks ,but she has not returned any of my calls or emails. The customer service reps told me that whenever she is out of the office;a signal is sent to them (reps) to inform them but no signal has been received. The reps told me that the longest wait for a response should not exceed 72 hours.
I am not sure what else to do right now,as I am so depressed over this.Any ideas of what I can do?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Chavelle. I am sorry but I am helpless with you. In the first place we dont have any idea of what you are talking about, to which board you are contacting with and for what reasons you're contacting them. I guess it is just rightful that before seeking for any help, to just beforehand state a brief background of the matter. In such a way we could help you up-close in ways we could.
Your thread title is also vague and leaves us with a big question mark. Next time please be specific.
Thanks. Hoping I could be of help soon.
I'm sorry. I believe that I have read it in the policy here that you must not identify any organization?
I made a mistake and sent my RN license and transcript to NB instead of CES. I had requested for them to be sent to CES,but only my License was sent. I have been emailing and calling the education consultant's office for almost three weeks. The reps are always sending messages to her office but she has not responded to me at all.
I am desperate to have my evaluation completed so I can move on.I have been at home for over a year doing nothing.

Who are you requesting CES to send? and you are ok mentioning BON's it is just identifying names we don't permit.
CES usually has to go direct from CGFNS to the BON you want it to go to
The NB received my license and transcript.I sent it to them because I did not know about CGFNS.Anyway,I contacted the education consultant and asked her to share the info with CES (confirmed with CES that it can be done). However, she only sent my license and not my transcript. Now, i am trying to contact her and she is not responding.

Policy is only that you do not recognize individuals by name, anything else can be posted. Without having that information, then there is nothing that we can do to help.
As for your problem, it looks like you had the documentation sent to the BON and not to CGFNS for the CES. Once a BON receives something, they are never able to release it, it belongs to them. They are unable to share your transcript with them. You will not find one single state that can do this.
You are going to have to submit everything again to CGFNS for the CES if you wish to get it done. Trying to reach the person at the BON is not going to change anything. Legally, they are unable to do anything about the transcripts. So just go ahead and submit what is needed to CES along with the application, etc.
BON has contacted me and has confirmed that my transcript was sent to CES.
You can request to have your transcript/license shared between NB and CES.I already had my license sent from BON to CES, just that they did not send the transcriptat the same time. The head of CES report confirmed this before I made the request to BON.
Ces has advised me that they are doing the evaluatioin for the BON so if BON is sure that it received the documents from the official source;then its absolutely fine with them.
Thanks guys.
Sorry, but you cannot request that your transcript be shared. If they sent your transcript on for you, they are retaining it. Without your written permission to do so, nothing is ever shared. And no BON will ever share anything with any other BON either. When one applies for a license to another BON, then they must submit everything just like they did in the beginning. It is never sent on from the original state, this is the point that we are trying to make to you.
Well, I already have, and it has been done so I am 100% sure about it.
They are not sharing it with another BON;only with CES.It has already been shared with CES.In my initial post I did mention that I have been sending her emails. If it was not done I would have agreed with you,but it has been done so i have to disagree.
I was told that I would have to pay a fee, request it in writing,if I was registered with the BON.I am just applying to take the NCLEXexam.
They are doing this out of the kindness of their heart for you, this is not something that is routinely done. That is why I am making a point of it for others that are reading here.
Normally, things are not sent to the BON until the CES has already been completed. There are also states that are actually returning anything when they do not have a completed file on the nurse close to when the application was received. This is the point that I am trying to make. You made the error in sending things to the BON, they are being nice and sending it on for you, but they are not required to do this and they normally do not. Usually everything just gets sent back to you.
But this is also where you are wrong. You are not applying to take the NCLEX exam, there is no way to actually do that since there is no application for it. You are applying for licensure to a state BON. The CES is a requirement of many of the BONs as it saves them the time of doing their own credentials eval. The NCLEX exam requires that you have permission to test from a BON and is the final step in the licensing process.
As I stated before, they are just being nice to you. They easily could have sent it all back to you.
You are applying for licensure, not the exam. There were just being considerate of you at this time, but this is not something that is routinely done.
I can understand where you are coming from.I was not told that it was just a favor.I have been informed that CGFNS does the evaluation for the BON,therefore, if the BON received the documents from its official source they are happy to accept the documents from BON.
I just thought that I should share my experience with others that are in the same predicament as myself. I was told that documents can be shared between CGFNS and BON.However,as you rightfully pointed out, I was told that this is not routinely done, only if requests are made.
Thank you for your input.
