I'm SO frustrated right now...the few I've been close with all through pre-reqs received their acceptance letters yesterday...I didn't get mine yet!! I was so excited to come home & get the mail after my friend called my cell to tell me they came, I about sobbed at the mailbox when I got home & didn't have one. I know I'm in, a girl was accepted with 3.0, and I have a 3.5, a guy with a 2.7 was accepted, and the minimum is 2.8!!!!! There were 42 applicants, and only 25 acceptances were sent. That makes no sense, since our school takes 40, so I'm just very nervous that something has gone wrong with my application. I even called the new owners of my old house in case it accidentally got sent there. If it isn't here tomorrow, I'll just freak!!! Anyone have any input? If they're all mailed at the same time, shouldn't we all get them at the same time?? I'm going nuts....been waiting on this letter for 15 years....why of all people did mine have to be late???????

Calm down sweety. It will come. The numbers alone speak for themselves. Perhaps your local post office was behind in getting things sorted and out, maybe your letter is in the second outgoing pile the school has yet to send. The possibilties are endless. I know how the anticipation is killing you, I was doing a countdown to the 17th since school was supposed to mail the letters starting that day. I received my letter on yesterday, but a friend of mine still hasn't received hers and she lives closer to the school and main post office than I do. Keep us posted, I am sure you will be posting your excitement tomorrow afternoon! :chuckle

I can totally relate, the same thing happened to me. Our acceptance/refusal letters were sent out the first week of April. I kept talking to people at school that had received their letters, but none for me. I waited by the mailbox faithfully and nearly drove my mailman insane! I waited a full week and a half after all the others got theirs and still mine never came. So I finally went to our nursing office where we handed in the applications and told them "Look, I can't eat, can't sleep, and I think I've deceloped an ulcer over this." I just knew they had lost my application and filled all the spots without considering me. They told me to come back in a couple days if I didn't receive the letter. I just could not wait any longer so I again pleaded with them and said please just pull my file and make sure you still have my application. So releuctantly the secreatry pulled my file and made me a copy of my letter and luckily I had been accepted, but I nearly went crazy waiting for that letter..lol Maybe you can contact your nursing office and see if they will do the same for you. Best of luck to you and I hope that you get in!

Did you have to send other stuff besides the marks to the school? Here we had to write a letter, send in a resume and send in a 3 year transcript of all the marks. Wierd...AND I'm an "older" student (27) so they needed more reasons as to why they should accept me. I applied as a 101 student as well which means a student right out of high school, go figure. I called the school and they told me they had to wait for my FINAL maeks in order to make a decision but I got my acceptance via e-mail the next week. I almost wrote a letter complaining of MY freaking ulcer! :chuckle These schools are anything but totally organised.

Same thing happened to me. All my classmates received their acceptance/rejection letter, but not me. Like WannaB did, I called the school and was told that my letter was mailed and I was accepted. I had to go to the school and get another letter reprinted because we had to return out acceptance card by a certain date. Needless to say, my postman delivered my original letter a week and a half later. Good luck to you and share you joy with us when you do receive it. God Bless!

Hon, everyone's not going to get their letters the same day, unless you all live in the same house. Slow down, and take a few deep breaths!! Give it a couple more days, and then call the school of nursing if you haven't received your letter. Of course, I know that's easy for me to say. I felt like that letter was worth 100 times it's weight in gold!!

Mrsmoo2,
Don't worry. When I was accepted into the nursing program in 2002, my school sent them out according to the last name...since I'm at T, I got mine a few days later than the rest of my classmates. Here I am again, 2 years later, waiting for my acceptance letter again, and I assume it's the same procedure. Oh, if your wondering why I'm waiting for my acceptance letter again...I gave up my spot due to complications in my pregnancy at the time

well, still no letter today, so I called the school & she said it went out Friday, but she mailed it to my old address, we've moved since I applied. The school has my new address on their computer, I got my grades here, but she said she just went by what was on the application, and she said I made it in!!!! Letter should be here tomorrow, the post office said forwarding adds a day or two. I feel a little better, but I still want to see that letter!!! Still not sure why they only took 26 when they have room for 40, and how someone who didn;t have minimum gpa got in, but I guess as long as I made it, I don't really care.
