About a month ago I passed my CNA exam and just recently was offered and accepted a job to work in the PACU. I have no experience in a hospital setting. What should I expect for this job? Any PCT's out there that also work in the PACU care to share anything?

I assume you will mainly just do a lot of transportation of patients.
Yeah that's what my interviewer mentioned

This is the bulk of it and believe me, this is a great foot in the door into patient care! It's hard work, you will be exhausted and at times you'll feel under appreciated. But, this is a very important job and now is the time to start considering good shoes!!! Your back and your feet will thank you for it! I loved my Asics, but I also wear New Balance.
Congrats on your new job!!!
Thank you!! I cant wait to start. I have nike flyknits so they'll be comfortable I'm sure!
Those sound really nice

Are you planning on going back to school? You will probably help with emptying foleys, take temps/vitals, transporting. Working as a tech is a great way to get your foot in the door!! Good luck!
