I would recommend finding out who the nurse recruiter is at the hospitals you are interestef & contacting them directly. HR departments at hospitals are very busy and can take awhile to get back with people. The recruiters I have been in touch with have been very helpful. I am not applying to Detroit hospitals but the hospitals in Lansing/GR/Kzoo don't really start accepting applications & interviewing May grads until the end of this month or March.
Is there anyone who is graduating from nursing school in may 08' and already have had interviews or offered jobs?
How long did it take to get a response from the hospitals?
What hospitals did you apply to?
What work experience did you have?
I need to know if I need a plan B!!!!!
Thanks for your response.

Thanks AnnaN5 for your response. I talked to the recruiters and they all said that they received my applications. I guess maybe I need to wait a little longer......I don't know its confusing. I wonder if there are people in the same position as me?

Hi, I am a nursing student getting my BSN in Missouri. I plan on moving to Detroit after graduation in May 08'. I am worried. I applied for jobs at hospitals in Detroit almost 13 days ago and no one has called me back. Many of my classmates already have jobs set up here in Missouri. Does anyone know how long I should wait to receive a call from hospitals for an interview?
Is the job application process different and takes longer in Detroit?
