2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

World Registration

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Usually when NMC ask you for resubmission of documents and clearifcation it doesn't take 60 days, u should get your DL in a couple of weeks.

I am from Canada, my agency is HCL too they have been quite helpful guiding me so far. They got me my COS in less then a week probably depends on the hospital as well.

Good luck

Hi! Is there anyone who knows the app that lets you make free calls to UK (NMC)? Thank you in advance!

Hey guys~ I am a nurse in Australia atm, in the process of moving to The UK under HCL as my agency. I will hopefully be working in Royal Brompton Hospital.

Just want something to calm my nerves really. So here is my journey so far:

> First entered queue: 25th of May '18

> Feedback given: 5th of July

I needed to upload a declaration that I did not work as a nurse in Saudi Arabia, and that I did not live there past the age of 18. Otherwise, I'd need to get a police check from them + registration proof IF I had worked. Thankfully, neither of this applied so I simply uploaded a declaration to my assessment profile stating so.

They also wanted me to resend clinical hours breakdown from both my college and university. (I did a diploma of nursing which removed a year from my bachelor's so I had to provide both). College no longer had that info in their archive so my agency asked what they would accept and they said a letter from the college, declaring that I was a student that graduated and completed the compulsory hours stated in the diploma. As for my uni, I contacted them and they fixed a few things before resending my transcript.

> Documents sent by express courier: 10th of July

> Received by NMC and placed back in queue: 16th of July.

Now I have read through the comments here... trying to find some hope, because the NMC states I have to wait the whole 60 days again, but my agency says to not worry and it won't take that long. Have any of you had this experience? Should I suck it up and wait 60 days?

And as a true act of kindness, my agency has even already started my CoS application so they're hoping I can be there by September.

Any feedback would be great. Sorry for the essay xD

Hey dear, you need not to worry. I got my dl in 7working days after resubmission of some additional documents requested for. Ive heard several peple say they got theirs less than 24hours after resubmission of documents. You can call them to be sure you are back on the queue though.

Thank you so much for the response, Farhana

HCL really is amazing, and my agent has been so accommodating. I can be a tad anxious, as you can probably tell but he's been very understanding.

Enough about me~

So Canada to the UK! May I ask where you'll be heading? Are you perhaps there now?

You're a gem. Thank you so much for replying.

I'll now try not to worry that they'll find further issues with the paperwork I sent haha.

I've been back in queue since the 16th so fingers crossed~ I don't mind waiting. Just not knowing if they will want more documents as opposed to the decision letter is worrisome xD

Hope all is going well for you ^_^

So close~ Are you excited?

Oh I got an interview for that hospital but decided to go with Royal Brompton instead. We shall be working quite close together haha.

Oh it's as crazy as Australia to UK. My whole family is here, but I'm moving to be away from them and to start my own life as my partner is in The UK.

I hope you don't regret it either~ If not for my partner, I would have tried going to Canada, actually haha.

Hello. Just want to ask if there is someone who was asked to submit transcript of training from your university again. Should it be sent separately? Because when I sent it the first time I sent all my documents in one bulk.

Hi there, I was asked to resend my transcript as well. Did you university send it themselves or did you do it? If you're doing it yourself.. believe you need to make sure to add a blank NMC transcript form for the barcode.

hi! did NMC told you the reason why did they asked you to resend your transcript?

I had to resend 2 of them. One from the college I did my diploma in. They wanted a full clinical breakdown of the hours I did there. My college did not have that information in archives so I instead sent a declaration that was signed and stamped by them that I did do the hours indicated in the diploma.

The other from my university which they sent themselves the first time. They never indicated the true issue but I told my university that they wanted more, so they amended some stuff and resent it.
