Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Hello, I just got my DL today. I was on the queue since Sept 29. I also secured a CoS before the DL. I am now waiting for my visa. But I am still anxious about the OSCE. Can someone please help me. I have no idea what to expect there. Thanks

Hi Fellow future UK RNs

I took my CBT today and to say the least it moderately difficult. There were certain subjects that I didn't focus on Ie.. PDGs, Independent Prescribers, Newborns etc. The thing that upset me the most is that NO CALCULATORS were allowed! The proctor said it was on the computer but there was no icon for it and then they said that they were not allowed. SO I had to scribble on my scratch paper D/H x Q and V/T x C =R, hopefully I got that correct. The CODE was on there simple questions of which area does XXX come from (Prioritize People, Practice Effectively, Trust/Professionalism, Safety). A few theory questions Freud etc.

I had a lot that were flagged due to calculations and PDGs, student nurse questions etc. A lot of basic questions too: S/S DM I, CVP, safety, when to call MD S/S shock, when to take certain meds like Synthroid, self medication of patients.

My fingers are crossed!

Hi! Anyone here who will process their visa application from Saudi Arabia and will fly directly to UK? Is there a need to get a TB test? I've heard from some that it is no longer a requirement if someone has been a resident of the middle east but I just want to be sure. Thanks!

Hey John. Sorry I dont have any material to send, but I would advise you to read all the blueprints in detail. Go though all the links. Thats what helped me pass it in first attempt.

Does anybody here know the timeline they usually give for you to get to the UK once you get the DL?

Hi. After having received your DL, you will need to have COS from UK hospital and then you apply for the visa. This visa decides when you can fly and not the DL. Hope this helps.

Hi. I hope that this thread is still active. Im due to take CBT on February 16 and I am so scared that Im only allowed two mistakes to pass. Anyone here who can share their tips with me and some review materials you used? Im so scared that Im crying right now. Please help.

It's still active. I will be taking my CBT on February 19. I know the anxiety surrounding the exam. We will pass it, continue praying.
