Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

I was deployed October and here in the UK right now. 3 of my batch mates uploaded police clearance and was told to submit NBI instead. It's a hassle if you're here and then request for an NBI, you mind. :)

Too bad for them. Idk about my colleagues, they seem sure about the police clearance but good thing i submitted an NBI instead.

Hi guys, i just want to ask if what are the laboratories needed when taking the medical exam? Does it includes full blood chem? And how much did you spend for it? Thankie!

Hello I am starting my review for the CBT examination and I am overwhelmed. I started on domain 1: Professional values and the number of resources and links are massive especially the NICE guideline. For instance, 1 publication of NICE regarding prevention of Surgical infection is 42 pages long, and the further I read there are more links being introduced. I feel like I will finish domain 1 in a month. Any suggestion?

Ys, there's cbc, blood typing, routine urinalysis and fecalysis, RPR,test for HBSAG and HIV/AIDS.

I spent almost 1300php for all the tests, including chest x-ray, audiometry, dental,optical, psychometric, ishihara and complete physical exam.

Try to read the marsden, standards of medicine managment, care of the elderly and the code. Go to this link and answer the MCQs, Dougherty: The Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures Student Edition 9e some of the questions in here really appeared in the actual exam. Understand the code by heart. Practice drug/iv calculation, no complicated calculation in the actual. Do not forget to pray. :yes:

Yes, I told the nurses that I already had my IOM chest x-ray last week (I even brought with me the IOM chest x-ray result), yet they informed me that I still need to undergo with their chest x-ray procedure since it's part of their medical package and the only chest x-ray result that their physicians will use and read to conclude whether I am fit to work abroad or not.

Btw, were you the one who also entered the assessment queue on December 29, 2016?do you have your DL already?

Hi guys, so I was at PRC pagadian the other day, and they said they would fill up the NMC registration form, but they themselves must mail the document to London. No alternative stated, THEY must be the one to mail it. So I made up some excuse to get out of paying more money than I have to (If I pay for them to mail it, I have to save up to mail the rest of the documents which would mean I would spend twice the money I needed to).

Long story short, I paid for their services to fill up the form and the stamp. But they said they might not provide their official envelope they usually use to send these types of documents. I just thought that NMC probably didnt need that envelope and just said it was OK. However a friend of mine said that the envelope was needed to verify that it was PRC that filled up my form.

So I ask you guys, is the PRC envelope really required? Any advice would be most appreciated...

PRC should be the one to mail it to NMC. Don't make your application complicated or will have problem in the long run because you just want to save. I think that will cost you more money and time if you'll be the one sending the PRC documents.

Why would'nt they provide you the mailing envelope? When i processed mine here in region 9, they gave me an envelope eventhough i was the one who mailed the docs in NMC. I had a friend who received her DL already who didnt used the prc envelope. She put the document in a short brown envelope then printed the type of document attached inside with name, candidate number and birthdate and she just sealed it.

thank you very much! Hmm....I have a hunch but I wont voice it publicly because it might be damaging to their reputation....

Thanks again for the hint about your friend who still got her DL without the envelope! I think I'll follow what she did...:D
