Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
I used the professional edition. I doubt it makes any difference at all which version you use to study. The student edition has multiple choice questions that appear word for word on the actual CBT, but I think if you actually study either version, you'll get all these questions right. I think you can find these questions in the Royal Marsden site, if you want to see them.
Thanks @Kurokocchi! One more question, how many months did you prepare for the exam and what edition did you use?
Hi guys...received an email from NMC regarding some clarifications of my registration dates (PI AND KSA)...and it was instructed to re submit my online application once i am done with the changes..but i clicked submit by mistake without making any changes...what do i have to do? Need helpâ˜ºí ½í¸‚
Hi Arfejoy,
NMC will not inform you whether your application is already in the decision queue. The best thing to do is to call/email them to inquire about the status of your application. In my case, I emailed them to ask for updates 1st week of July. They replied 10 days after - stated that my application was put in the decision queue on the 25th of June. Waiting period is 6-8 weeks. Received my DL August 10.
As advised by the partner recruiter in UK of Omanfil, the OSCE will be taken around 5-6wks after arrival in UK. Before taking the OSCE, your hospital has a program to train you cause they want you to pass, of course. If you pass the first time, you can get your NMC pin after just 5 days of waiting...so hello band 5! If you fail on the first take, you may take the test again for a 2nd time. If you fail again, unfortunately, the hospital will send you back home.
COMMENT;
what agency are you under?
hello guys....took the cbt last march 18 and got the PASS result after 20-30 minutes.... just want to be honest... i actually didnt have enough time to study, especially the royals marsden...why? (work related) got the book by march 15 and didnt thought that its consisted of 950 pages.... all i did was... PRAY... PRAY... PRAY... and focused on the following tips....1) always patient safety even of its against hospital protocols....
2) always patient safety first.... not our safety, not the doctors safety.... not the hospital interest but always patient safety first
3) drug calculation... basic
4) always read keyword in all given questions... like most appropriate (nursing care plan).... best thing to do(patient first... patient priority) .... first nursing action(nursing care plan)...
5)always... always... always... take your time to pick the right answer... no need to rush....
6) Pray... Pray... Pray....
7) study about copd/dehydration/infection/infection control/universal precaution/record keeping/clinical benchmark/code/standards/safety/nursing care plan/6 c's/ bedsores/waterlow.....
8) pray...pray..pray....
Goodluck and Godbless everyone....
