I have been working on getting to the UK as an RN for over a year now. I completed my IELTS in December 2012 and finished my second pack in June 2013 after all the changes were made this Spring. I finally received my decision letter in November, even though they said they made the decision at the beginning of October, and I was not accepted into the registry, even though I have my BSN from a 4-year university here in the US. Apparently, they want more clinical hours.
I have my doubts as far as whether my hours were actually calculated correctly by the university since no one seemed to know exactly what the NMC wanted. I am currently working on getting that checked by the university.
My question is: Has anyone been accepted or heard of anyone from the US being accepted into the NMC registry since the changes this Spring? If so, please share your experience and any advice you might have! I'm just looking for a little hope.
Thanks!
