NMC delay and put on queue this 2013. waiting for decision letter

Published

Since nmc put on hold all the papers and resume this year, is there anyone who was put on queue this 2013 and received the decision letter? I would like to know if 90 days waiting period really followed. Its really frustrating knowing that it only took 1 month before to process this. Please share your experiences. Thanks!

Hi! I just received the os1 form today then I had posted it back home. I hope they'll answer it as soon as they have received it. Then they will post it back to the NMC, have to wait for 10days to appear to their system. Then as soon as it appears to their system after the 10th day, that is the time my 90 days will count for hopefully a decision letter. :-( nothing else I can do. I think the delay for overseas are done on purpose. Just saying.

help required.I was working in Saudi as RN. I'm processing my papers to NMC UK.I've downloaded the Good standing certificate.,But the NMC wants few forms for license verification that has to be filled by Saudi council and also the Registration certificate.since I'm in India I'm unable to go there and do it.Do any one hav any idea how to fill or what are the replacement documents that are to be sent to NMC apart from Good standing certificate .I have a valid registration card.

Hi! I have started my application November 2012 and I am expeiencing the same situation like you do. The only difference is that I had never asked for a decision officer for my queries. I am still waiting for my decision letter. Regarding my hosp experience, since I am here in UK since November of 2008, I m out of practice since then. I worked as a healthcare asstant unil now. So officially, from now, I am really out of practice for 5 years. So does that mean that I have to go back home? Would that mean that the decision I am waiting for will state tha I have to go back home and fulfill the two month work experience? :-([/quote']

.. i suggest you go directly to the nmc office.. you will get the decision quicker.. if not they will give you exact estimate when the decision will be released.. i did the same.. and the 5 years of zero practice will count back from the day you submit to the nmc.. i hope you get your decision letter very soon..

i applied december 8 last year.. like few people they requested too many documents. either they lost it or request another one. i worked in saudi and they needed my registration. Again I sent the form last 1 december (received at 2nd) and i call them almost twice a day after the 10 day scannning period timeline, but until now its not yet appearing on their system.. anyone experienced about the scanning taking ages? im so afraid they might have lost it again.. luckily i have the royal mail tracking number. its really hard to get that document from saudi, i even spent 500 pounds for someone to process it. what an agony of waiting!

Hi greatxander. Just recently, my os1 and os2 from the hospital where I worked sent back the foms to the NMC. I have called the NMC and told me to wait for next year for my forms to be scanned.

they are really annoying... I understand your circumstances like me After they received my saudi council letter on December 2, it was scanned on 16th and i was put back to decision queu. U should have submitted yours personally in my opinion, becuase even i sent it on a secured delivery they took ages to find my letter.. I called them everyday about the updates.. they said it wont reach 90 days to process the decision letter. anyway goodluck for all of us..

I'm an Aussie nurse too. I started my application with the NMC in April 2012. They somehow managed to lose my file which meant I had to resubmit everything. They have now this week come back and said the hours from my degree are not satisfactory. I did a 3 year Bachelor at UTS. I went into their office and they basically told me that Australian nurses can no longer gain registration with just a Bachelor, we need to have an additional Graduate Diploma or higher. I'm just wondering what qualifications you have?

Hi, just seen your post here. So weird because I studied at UTS too, graduated in 2010. Yes I've been told the new rule is that an non-EU trained nurse has to have a Masters or grad diploma in nursing, also have to do min. 3 months working as a student nurse, as well as ONP. Not even kidding, but the NHS will be absolutely ruined in a few years time with these new rules. Apparently it's because they let too many under-qualified nurses be registered here, also to bring us up to 'UK training standards' which I find completely bizarre and not based on my experience at all!

Anyway, as it stands I'm about to submit the references again because something was wrong with my other ones, then hopefully get the decision. I'm surprised they rejected yours given you started the process last year, before the changes came into play.

I have a few more things to say but can't work out how to private message you!

Anyone else got any updates on the situation?

Hey gen88! I've accepted your friend request so you should be able to pm me now. Are you already over in the UK or still in Oz?

Anyone received a decision letter yet?

i'm so frustrated, my trancript of training has been delivered to them last 24th of November and up to now it's still hasn't been scanned to my file. it's taking them forever and you can not do anything but wait. Oh dear.

are you in the UK? I submitted my documents from saudi council again on the 2nd of December and was scanned on the 16. As usual they told me im back to decision queue and wait within 90 working days. I try to call them everyday even im on the phone for an hour, sometimes i was on queue 59 and it was terrible and they always say the same reply, you are on decision queue. My passport had already expired and im worrying that they will ask again another copy of my latest passport. I'll post any update.

@greatxander yes i'm in the uk.if you sent them your docs on the 2nd of Dec and been scanned on the 16th i wonder why mine takes so ages to be scanned considering i sent mine a week before you

i called them everyday to almost twice a day to ask them if they have scanned my docs, i kept challenging them about inconsistency of giving time frames. and I had the tracking number confirming that their receptionist received and signed the letter so they cant make excuse if they lost it. ill keep u updated.
