NLN / CCNE?

Hey guys,

I'm looking into different nursing progams and know they have to be accredited. But... I've researched some accredited by the NLN and some by the CCNE. ..yet I have no idea what the difference is between the two and why they are separate. Do either higher standards than the other? Is one more important than the other? Does anybody know- do employers prefer one over the other when they look at your educational background?

I'm hoping getting an answer to this question will help me in my decision on which campues to send my applications to..

Thanks for any input. :D

NLN accredits all nursing programs (ADN, AAS, Diploma, BSN)

CCNE accredits only college/university based nursing programs (ADN, BSN)

There are other differences but this should get you where you need to go.

You can always "Google" either or both to find out more.
