NJ license by endorsement

Has anyone recently applied for license by endorsement? I submitted my application last week, I'm kind of confused about their fingerprinting process. Do I really have to wait for them to mail instructions for identogo?

Also what is the typical timeframe for endorsement? I've seen on other treads some people were saying up to 4 months. I live in NJ now if that makes a difference...

Hi, I applied for my endorsement Aug 3rd, online application and sent in all required info, received fingerprint info a week later and did the fingerprinting Aug 21st, checked my checklist and everything but my background check said completed, called NJ board of nursing on it and by the end of the day it said completed, received active NJ license Aug 24th. Hope this helps.

    Yes this is extremely helpful. I'm so glad you answered,thanks! I'm waiting on my fingerprinting form. It sounds like the process went relatively fast for you, hopefully it will be the same for me.

Update, this may help someone: I went for my fingerprinting yesterday, it was the earliest appointment I could get. I checked the BON website this morning and now everything on the checklist says completed, except for the background check, of course. I am hoping that it won't take too long for them to receive those results. Any feedback on turnaround time for that would be appreciated!

As of today my checklist states that the background check is complete. Everything is complete. So I guess more waiting now? ? I think I'll call tomorrow. If nothing early next week I'll drive up there.

Called the bon yesterday.was told that it takes 6-8 weeks and to call back on the 16th. Even though everything is complete...I explained I have a job lined up was told that they would expedite it of there are no issues. Will call on Monday and see what they say.

License issued! Hopefully this thread helps someone in the future ?
