I am in an MSN program that requires us to have our PA, DE, and NJ licenses for our clinicals. I applied for my NJ license by endorsement (I am an RN in PA) in September. I still do not have a license! I have been calling the State Board since November. Every time, I get told that my application is pending board review or that there is a backlog of applications or a backlog of endorsement applications or only one person to approve endorsement applications and on and on and on.
I have asked to speak to a supervisor but am always told that there is no supervisor that I can speak to who can help with my complaint.
My university just informed our class that any student without all 3 RN licenses by May 20th 2014 will not be eligible to continue their studies this summer. The summer course we are required to take is offered once per year which would mean that my graduation would be delayed by a full calendar year.
Does anyone have any tips or advice? Should I make the 1hr 40 minute drive to Newark? I am desperate!

Calling the NJ board of nursing is a waste of time unfortunately.....they know nothing your better off going there in person and hoping someone knows something, the nj board of nursing seems to be poorly run institution, I wish I'd taken my boards in pa, they have their licence while I'm in nj on my second month of waiting and being victim to NJ non countless mistakes

Very true. Calling the NJ board does nothing. Your best bet is to show up.
It took months for my endorsement. I finally got it when I showed up to the office.
