Nightingale College 2021

Hello everyone !
I’m so excited that I’ve found this program ! I live in California where all nursing schools are impacted, to find a program like this is a miracle .  I am finishing up the enrollment process now . I’ve notice that there are not many posts on the site for the school . Has anyone went to the program or planning to go ?

I have been going to nightingale since Summer of 2019. It’s been okay so far. Due to covid we couldn’t do any clinical rotation here in Las Vegas. The new semester will start in 3 weeks and we are finally doing clinicals at the valley health system, although it’s only once a week.

What class are you taking that allows in person clinical? I read its only for the 346,366,395 at the moment. It would be great if they are allowing the other courses too.

Is it like self teach like other nursing schools or do they really teach you the material?
How is the online clinicals? Is it mainly paperwork care plans etc? If you guys can give little bit more info that would be great! Thank you so much in advance

Hi!

I haven’t actually started yet, I start tomorrow!! From what I was told it’s self teaching a lot especially since it’s online . I was told due to the new vaccine and covid cases going down I will be attending in person clinicals.

My advisor said that Las Vegas doesn’t allow out of state learners. Is this true? Has anyone from

California completed clinicals in other states?

My advisor told me the same thing. She said because there are so many Las Vegas learners already so it's hard to get clinical placement. It also stated this in the docusign that we were given.

I was never told that Las Vegas was never a option. I asked for clarification if it was because COVID19 or because it was congested and my advisor informed me that Nevada is the only state that never allowed of state learners.

I was only told because I asked. There was an email sent out and it said something about spots filling up fast in Las Vegas. So I emailed my advisor asking why I received the email since I'm supposed to be remote and if they were sending it because that's where I will do my clinicals. She said it was a mass email and they will Never send a Learner to Vegas. Shortly after that I got the docusign that mentioned it again. I was kind of disappointed since Vegas is closest to me and I have family. I'm still holding out hope that they change their mind LOL

I was told out of state learners were never allowed. It would be so nice if they were, because it’s a whole lot closer than other states. I totally understand about having a family and having to leave for 5-12 days at a time. I suppose it the sacrifice that we’ll have to make ?. Good luck to you!

Have you been told where you're supposed to go for clinical? I was surprised to see so many people mention where they were going yesterday during orientation. I was under the impression that we wouldn't find out until later in the semester and it would change each time

No, I haven’t been told. My advisor did say that I would know 6 months in advance where my clinicals would be.

Hi everyone,

I'm from CA as well and I'm interested in this program but know nothing about it. Hoping to talk to a counselor soon...

How is the application process and approximately how long does it take to get accepted and get started? Is this program accredited and would I be able to work as an RN in CA after graduating from this program?

It took we about a month to get everything done and accepted. All you really have to do it get a 240 or higher on the accuplacer assessment for get accepted. This RN program is accredited and you will be able to sit for your NCLEX and take it in California. The only downside is having to travel 7 times for 2-3 weeks for clinicals.
