Hello,
I finally landed a PICU/NICU interview! Yea! Unfortunately, I have no experience beyond 2 clinical days in PICU/NICU since they weren't an option for my preceptorship: the hospitals in my area won't take on students in those fields. (I'm green with envy for those of you who get to do that, how awesome!) Sooo, obviously I could use any and all advice to overcome these obstacles.
Thanks!

Have you taken PALS or NRP? It would show interviewers you're serious about the speciality. Also if they ask you scenario questions you could use information learned from those classes to answer them. Good luck! It looks like we're applying to many of the same places!

No, I haven't done PALS or NRP yet. I don't have time between now and the interview, either. I wasn't expecting to get a NICU interview, I applied because I figure what the heck? Might as well try. I've been involved in some intense situations in nursing school, so I can highlight that.
How's it going for you, Kelsey? This is my only Washington interview, after applying everywhere in the state (and it might land me in Oregon. Ironic.)

Where in Washington? If you don't mind me asking.
