I graduate with my LPN in December. I already have a conditional job offer once I graduate. Which is great but I still want to pursue my education and obtain my BSN. My question is what would be the better route going to get my ADN then BSN or going straight for my BSN? Also what are some good programs/colleges to do this. I currently reside in Kentucky.

If you know you ultimately want your BSN, I probably would do that. You might end up saving time and money doing it that way, but look around. If you have enough time to commit to rounding out your BSN now and can afford the program you find, I feel like it's the better choice of the two.

Find the nearest BSN program near your home and check out their prerequisite list and steps for admission. Do the same for the nearest ASN programs. Then start taking any necessary prerequisites and when the time is right, apply. If you have any questions that can not be answered by checking out the nursing program website links, make an appointment to see a nursing advisor at the school. Be careful at your new job, though, because some employers or supervisors take a negative attitude toward people that want to further their education and you do not want to end up at the short end of that stick on your first nursing job!

I agree with going BSN. To save money, do your remaining gen eds and pre-reqs at a community college.
