If you are reading this I can assume you have been accepted and I would like to extend my congratulations. For you the waiting game is over and a new game has started, completing the complex coursework for a BSN!
As you know we have a lot of prep work ahead of us to get ready to enter the nursing profession. The Health Center at Stan will start helping new nursing students with vaccines/ titers in August and I understand that is the most reasonable way to get this done. I guess we will find out everything else we need to know at the Orientation on August 2. There is also a medical terminology test that we will have to take and before we start classes. Did you notice in the acceptance letter that they assume we know medical terminology? That was a strong hint, because we will be taking a medical terminology test prior to starting nursing classes. I only know this because I have a friend who started in Spring 2010 who has been guiding me along.
I'm also looking for someone who lives in the Sonora area (or Tuolumne/Calaveras County) who will be commuting to Stan. If anyone else is accepted in the foothill area, please let me know if you want to car pool. Fortunately, the first semester we only have school 3 days a week.
