I have started going out in the field this week, following other nurses and trying to use the computer, etc. Originally they told me my orientation can be 6 weeks or more. The nurses I am with are telling me that I can handle this next week.
I don't feel I can, and have told them so. I'm an experienced RN, but not an experienced HH RN.
My question is, what do you think is an adequate orientation period?
Thanks!
When I click PT, there is nothing to fill out.
Click PT box, click the order. I still click fall precautions because it's a nursing thing. I put in PT01 for an evaluation. I don't know what the frequency will be. That's their call. There is a question that asks about meeting PT goals: poor, fair, good. I probably could put unknown which is true. I put fair but it's an educated guess. The redundancy of the documenting is rediculous. I put "narrative" when it wants documentation that will be in the narrative, basically one click with auto word feature.

That's what I'm trying to figure out.
If we say the patient is for fall precautions or has mobility issues etx should we click it and let them fill it out?
We fill it out and they add or subtract.
We also put in their visit frequency.
I had a L total hip today. Still in the screen because, ya know, I'm HERE on AN as well. :/
