Hi everyone! I am new to the boards, and I have some questions. I just enrolled in my CNA course that I have to take before I can start in on the nursing coursework. We are required to purchase a gait belt, stethoscope, and watch with a second hand. Please give me recommendations on these as far as quality, affordability, and ease of use. Also, please let me know if there are ones I should avoid. I definately want to do a little research before I go throw a bunch of money at this stuff. If possible, I would love to buy items that I can also use when I am in nursing school! Thanks :)

As for me, my favorite stethoscope is a Littman classic II and my favorite watch is a super cheap one from Walmart. I have had my watch for years and it still works like a charm and looks as good as the day I bought it :) I can't help you with the gait belt though, my recommendation would be to check at one of your local uniform or nursing supply stores.
Good luck with school!!

Get a gait belt with a plastic clip instead of a metal buckle.
