Hello everyone,

im a newbee on this site so go easy on me.

just had a few questions regarding on how to enroll into the RN program. Im currently a senior in hs and was planning on getting my RN from a near by CC.

1.Now would i have to take the NLN exam during my senior year in hs or my first year at a cc.

2. Also, the rn program lasts about 2 years but with pre reqs in the way its going to take me longer? about 3-4 probably?

3. which option is better. the ADN-BSN route or straight BSN?

thank you!

You don't mention the name of the program, so no one would be able to give you accurate information. The best bet is to talk to someone from the school(s) you are considering to find out what is needed and by when.

As for the ADN or BSN, look at job postings for the area in which you want to work after graduation. Do the majority state BSN preferred or BSN required? If so, you may find yourself quite limited in jobs to apply for where you meet the requirements.

Since you are in HS, do you have a guidance counselor that you can speak with? They will be able to help you with choosing the best options for your career/college path. Good luck.
