hi everyone! I am a 2nd year student from N.Z. Does anyone have any ideas on presenting group presentations. Would like to do something a little more interesting than just reading from our notes.
Heaps of ideas - what is the topic??
The topic is negligence and incompetence within nursing practice, need to include disiplinary actions, tensions between law and ethics, impact on nurse etc
thanks for the welcome, pleased to be here.
yes we can use props and role play, visual and audial,
I want to do something that is going to be remembered, to make a statement.

I think that one of the best things you can use to be remebered, is doing a power point presentation. You can put great graphics in, have time out screens in between of really random things. Can make it alot of fun with sound and pictures....
powerpoint sounds great, any other ideas, thanks for the input guys
Role play is very effective. Especially if you think up a really juicy scenario and there are plenty on this bulletin board. There are lots of stories here where a nurse is in trouble not for something she did but because of circumstances. Do a search. Or look up the legal or the safety issues forums.
Remember though the majority of the BB is American and the laws may be slightly different.
