Hi! I'm new in this site. i just want to know if it is true that if you are a registered nurse in New Zealand then you want to transfer to the US, you don't need to take and pass the nclex anymore? thank you.

nope, definately a myth. For a RN to nurse in the US you must take and pass NCLEX and then meet all other requirements for immigration

All foreign born nurses require a Visascreen prior to obtaining work authorization in the US even those that studied in the US. One of the qualifications for the Visascreen is passing the NCLEX. Some states used to allow Canadians to work without NCLEX but that is long gone...

As mentioned above, even a Canadian RN must take and pass the NCLEX exam now. In the past, their licensing exam could be used by some states for reciprocity, but since the requirement of the Visa Screen Certificate, they need to take the NCLEX exam as well.
