Thread for New York University ABSN FALL 2025 students applicants:
Hi everyone, I made this thread so that those applying to the NYU ABSN Fall 2025
Ask questions about deadlines, prerequisites, GPAs, and more.
Hi everyone,
I applied for the NYU ABSN program for the Fall 2025 priority deadline. Has anyone received any updates?
Kdrsb said:@JeniJam I did send my deposit. I do have my email, NET ID and N number. I guess I'm a bit confused with the vaccination records considering I am from another country but do have all my vaccines checked. Not sure if I'd have to get my vaccine records translated or what. Then of course, there are other vaccines to be taken before classes start. That's where I am lost.
Ah OK! So what you have to do it make an appointment with your doctor and bring the form. They will take blood to check for antibodies. This lets them know which vaccines you've had and if they are still up to date. The doctor will let you know what vaccines you're missing and help you figure out how to get them. The doctor can then fill out the forms confirming all your vaccines are up to date.
If you don't have a primary care physician, you may be able to get this done through urgent care or a lab (like quest diagnostics or labcorp). But I'm not sure so I'll have to look into it.
You might be able to translate your records but getting fresh bloodwork may be the most straightforward way.
Also, FWIW NYU has been very helpful and nice with all my questions. We're paying enough money, they have the resources to help us! You can always call the admissions office and they will help you!
@JeniJam this is a really good summary of what to do. Thank you so much! I'll get started with it this week to get this done by July 15th (I believe this is the deadline). You're right- if anything else comes up, I'll send an email to them. I'm getting nervous for our first semester. LOL
Thank you all for the info throughout this process, it has been super helpful. I did reach out to the nursing school directly because I found other health clearance forms (https://nursing.nyu.edu/current-students/clinical-affairs/requirements) which are required for clinicals and they are different from the general NYU forms. They were very helpful and said we should get a welcome letter from NYU Meyers by the end of the month outlining the steps for all the health requirements. I don't think this would change anything for you all unless you planned on having all the tests and forms done before the end of the month, in which case, you might want to wait until early June to make sure everything is covered in one or two visits. Hope that helps!
And to those still waiting to hear, I hope you get some good news soon!

For sure, I'm nervous too! We got this 🙂

hi there, I have not received any info yet on orientation or first day of classes. Not trying to speak for others, but everyone might be in the same boat. It sounds like we should get an email towards the end of the month with these details. Hope that helps!
JeniJam said:Hey all, just got my acceptance! I already put my deposit in at Mount Sinai, but I think I'm gonna drop MS and go to NYU. With the financial aid package from NYU, they're about the same price. Plus NYU seems like to offer a lot more student support, so far at least.
I did the same thing as soon as I got accepted into NYU. Kind of sucks cause I had already sent Mount Sinai the $500 deposit last month
