Members are discussing their acceptance into NYU's nursing program, sharing their acceptance stories, asking about financial aid, creating a Facebook group to connect, and inquiring about the workload and staff at NYU. Some users are also considering other schools due to financial considerations and scholarships offered. There are questions about the application process, timelines for hearing back, and the possibility of receiving the ABSN for free based on income.
Thread for NYU Fall 2024 Applicants
Hi everyone, I made this thread so that those who are applying to the NYU ABSN Fall 2024 can ask questions/stay in touch.
Some schools do publish statistics (usually annually) about their acceptance rates and other demographics regarding an incoming class/ admitted group.
I had some questions for admissions and I wanted to share in case anyone is in the same boat:
"For the Accelerated 15-month program, prerequisites do not have to be completed by the application deadline. They must be completed before the first day of classes (matriculation). If you are currently taking classes at the time your application is submitted, you can still submit your application, and make sure to list these courses on your application as "in-progress". This doesn't affect the strength of your application, but it just means we will not be able to use your grades as part of the review. You will need to send a transcript, with your application, showing you are enrolled in the class, and that it is still in-progress. Once the class has been completed and graded, you will need to send an official transcript again, showing your grades."
I hope it really does because I'm trying to get everything together for this deadline ?

Hey I'm also applying to transfer from a community college! We can't apply to the ABSN program though since that requires a 4-year degree. We would apply as regular transfers to the 4-year program. I have a friend told me they'd done a video call with people form admissions and he was told that they require a 3.5 GPA. I'm not sure if this is 100% true though but I wouldn't be surprised.
