Thread for NYU Fall 2024 Applicants

Hi everyone, I made this thread so that those who are applying to the NYU ABSN Fall 2024 can ask questions/stay in touch.

Hi Everyone,

I applied for the NYU ABSN program FA 2024 priority deadline. Did anyone receive any updates?

@Nurse_Soleil5858 Hey! I don't think anyone will receive any updates until after the April 1st final deadline has hit. After that deadline is usually when they also start to send out admission decisions.

I'm currently in the process of applying.

I will be taking a few courses that I'm missing on Portage Learning to submit my application by the deadline!

Anyone able to upload their prerequisites? I keep getting a error message " Must declare the scalar variable "@id"." every time I click Add Courses.

@emcara are you sure decisions won't be released until April? From my understanding it seemed like decisions would be released on a rolling basis as they process applications.

For those who already submitted, did you attach your unofficial transcripts and also send the school the official transcript? I see on common app it says you can send if the official transcripts once/if you get in but on the NYU website it says to submit the official transcripts, so I'm a bit confused

@Alexander Van Raalte I could be wrong but from what I understood from others (and I think from their website as well) is that they start releasing decisions on a rolling basis only after the final deadline has hit which is April 1st. So after April 1st is when they would start releasing decision batches weekly like they usually do if I'm correct.

I applied as well. Received a message to add my prerequisites. I will be doing so later today hopefully. I hear so many positive things about NYU. Hoping I get in.

Does anyone know the stats for getting in? I am transferring from a community college in California. I just applied to 7 Cal States and I want to apply to more schools because it is so impacted here with only 30 applicants getting offered spots and 1500+ applicants.

Stats:

  • 3.8
  • TEAS 78.7 (Don't even know if they require)
  • 2000+ hours of MA experience
  • 200+ hours of volunteer experience

I believe NYU lets in roughly 200 students each year for the program. Their website states that all prereqs need at least a C to be considered. There is no entrance exam.

@brightFUTURE00

Are there any statistics percentage wise regarding the acceptance rate and how many people apply each year?
