I don't know if this helps but I was rejected last semester and was accepted this round. I graduated from NYU in May with a BS in Biology. I have four years of healthcare experience shadowing doctors and working as a med scribe. The only difference from my last application was a better GPA as I really pushed myself my last semester. I also started a job as a medical scribe and retook chemistry before I applied again. My best advice is do not lose hope. I was rejected from every nursing program I applied to the semester prior. My GPA is a 3.1 from NYU and my pre reqs are as follows ...

Stats: A-

Nutrition: A

A&P 1: B+

A&P 2: B

Chem: B

Dev psych: B

Micro: A-

Happy to share my stats and tips. I graduated from the Macaulay Honors College majoring in Neuroscience. My cGPA was about a 3.8 and my pre-requisite GPA was a 4.0. Prior to applying, I was originally pre-med so I already had a lot of healthcare experience (I.e. EMT-B, cadaveric dissection, clinical research). I also felt that having my Masters from Duke in Biomedical Sciences and being an adjunct professor for several years at Queens College assisted in the process. My suggestions would be showing dedication to the field of nursing, as I was pre-med, so I had to show why I changed to nursing and I did this via a CNA course and shadowing nurses at NYP-Hospital and Duke Medical Center. I also partook in many internships that enabled me to shadow physicians, NPs, PAs so I could make an informed decision. Lastly, while GPA is one factor I think it's crucial to demonstrate why NYU in the essay. I was fortunate to have been a research intern in the geriatrics department at NYU Langone prior to COVID-19, so that must have helped. Happy to share my application and answer any questions, if you find it beneficial.

Thank u all for the responses. My GPA was very high so I'm not sure if that's my case. I was wondering if the people who got in applied earlier ? IDK if that's a factor

I applied priority so by 9/15 my app was in. One of my friends who applied regular decision and submitted a month after me heard back before I did. Not sure whether priority means anything, at least in my given scenario. I was applying earlier to hear back earlier as NYU was my top choice at the time. However, I got into another "dream" school that I couldn't refuse so now I'll be attending there this January.

Does anyone know when orientation is?

Hey is anyone still waiting for a decision? I heard they are done accepting students now. Did anyone get rejections ?

Hi everyone, im applying for NYU's program for the fall but the cost is deterring me so much. Can anybody rationalize for me or sort of give me the pro's of this program? 90k is a bit steep haha

I got accepted on Friday, but before that I called admissions and they said they admit some people as late as January 15th.

Hi all - I have a couple questions on the cost for the program as I'm a little confused on what to expect. For context I was admitted to the second degree program, as I need to take chemistry in person during the first semester as I already took it but online.

Does anyone know what the total cost of the ABSN program (following the first semester) is with the nursing scholarship (assuming this is for one semester)?

In the portal it says the total direct costs for 1 year are $42,270, but I'm thinking this is only for a segment of the time. I've also emailed the office so will lyk what I hear!
