new year resolution

Published

My resolution is to have a 4.0 GPA this year with prerequisites. What are your?

Anybody have suggestions or stories of how they managed a 4.0 while working full time and be a mom?

update

New student orientation is today. The first semester they register you. I have 5 classes:nailbiting: it's going to be hard but I like school and my lil man motivates me :)

Good luck to everybody else who starts school this semester.

My resolution is to have a 4.0 in my prerequisites as well, and my other major one is to pass my CNA state license exam and get a job at a nursing home near me...it'll be a great way to get some experience before nursing school! As far as managing school and being a mom, I have no kids so I can't really answer that, sorry! I do think a big part of it will be patient and keeping your end goal (a career you love) in mind when things get stressful. Good luck!

Thanks. You too :) the CNA test should be easy as long as you know the routine of your skills.

You can do it! Remember you are doing this for a better life and a better financial future for your family. Know that you have what it takes to achieve it. Set aside times during the week to study, focus on schoolwork, etc.

My resolution is to start nursing school on a positive note. I start in 2 weeks! I can't believe it is already here, but I am ready.

Thaanks for the positive words. Good luck in nursing school. Its going to be rough at times but it has fun times too. What I wished I'd known then was you have to learn how to apply information and not just memorize it.
