Hello, Everyone!!!!!!!!
I just wanted to ask about this new way that I'm studying questions does this seem to be a good idea.
Well what I'm doing is Questions in the back of book like Suzanne stated but also when I read the question I'm asking if this question is either a: Physiological- address the nurse ability to give CARE to pt
1.BASIC CARE and Comfort- ex: Nurse decides that pt would best benefit
2.Pharmacological and Parental Therapies -ex: what would occur if pt is having side affects
3.Reduction of Risk-ex: what would the nurse record as indicating possible complications
This is whats helping me get the right answer is finding out what kind of question it is like Physiological,Psychosocial
Both deals with the clients needs from my understanding someone help me to make sure what I'm doing now to study is a good idea? What do yall think so far !!!!

If it works for you then do it. We all have to come up with our own little systems sometimes, especially with so much information as we are dealing with. I came up with all kinds of silly pneumonic devices to help me remember stuff in nursing school. I could never remember the difference between acidosis and alkalosis so I decided that since the "c" in acidosis was lower in the alphabet than the "l" in alkalosis, then the pH had to be lower than normal in acidosis. Since "l" is higher than the "c", then alkalosis meant your pH was higher than normal. Simplistic as heck but it worked. I even remember pneumonics I created in my sophmore year of college to get thru biology. lol The trick is to come up with something that works for you. If asking yourself what category a question is in, helps you remember the answer to that question and, more importantly, the RATIONALE behind that answer then do it.
paacollins Thanks so much for your advice also do you think something like this would work for you. Does this make sense?
